The Bruins have scored 30 goals in their last 10 contests, four of which have come against the division rival Toronto Maple Leafs.
Boston played back-to-back games against the Leafs, in Toronto, and won both. Not only did they gain an extra four points, but they managed to close the gap on the Blueshirts, who currently sit fifth in the East.
"We're trying to climb the standings," said Murray, who leads the team with 12 goals. "Every win is huge for us.
"Coming in and stealing two (wins against Toronto) is big for our club. We put ourselves behind the eight-ball early on in the season and now we're starting to win some games, which are key."
Thomas has been in goal for the B's in every one of the club's last seven victories and has quietly scared off rumors suggesting team General Manager Peter Chiarelli has been scouring the market for a new netminder.
"Our goalie's playing on the top of his game and making great saves," said Bruins captain Zdeno Chara.
The 32-year-old Thomas has posted a 9-5-2 record in 18 games with the Bruins, along with a 2.88 goals-against-average and .910 save percentage.
Boston's next test comes tonight against the underachieving Tampa Bay Lightning and then off the Carolina for a game on Saturday.
