True North Sports and Entertainment continues its talks with Atlanta Spirit about purchasing the Thrashers and moving them to Winnipeg.
"My job is to try to find a buyer who will keep the team in Atlanta," Waddell told the Journal-Constitution. "As long as they keep taking my phone calls, I'll keep working."
TFP has learned that talks between Atlanta Spirit and True North Sports and Entertainment began several weeks ago, as True North Sports and Entertainment began to weigh its options in the event the were unsuccessful in purchasing the Phoenix Coyotes.
With the Coyotes staying in Phoenix for at least another season, True North Sports and Entertainment increased its efforts to purchase the Thrashers.
