Dvorak can hit the open market this summer and explore his options, though he's voiced his desire to stay in Atlanta.
"I haven't been here a long time, just traded here a month ago. I like it here," Dvorak told the Journal-Constitution. "We had a great push but obviously it didn't happen for us.
"I like the future. We have a great chance. If you look at the team, [there is] a lot of young talent here, great leadership. I just wish I can be here next season. Hopefully we can work something out with Atlanta and I can be here next year."
Dvorak, 34, hopes to play "a few more years" in the NHL.
"I think I can still compete with the guys in the league," he said. "I think I have a few more years left."
