The Anaheim Ducks have signed unrestricted free agent left wing Dany Heatley to a one-year, $1 million contract.

Heatley, 33, is coming off a six-year, $45 million contract.

In 76 games with the Minnesota Wild last season, Heatley registered 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points.

The two-time 50-goal scorer has recorded 372 goals and 419 assists for 791 points in 863 career NHL regular-season games with the Atlanta Thrashers, Ottawa Senators, San Jose Sharks and Wild.

Heatley was originally selected second-overall by Atlanta in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
