Ducks acquire Robidas from Stars
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Anaheim Ducks have acquired veteran defenseman Stephane Robidas from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a 2014 fourth-round draft pick.

Robidas, 37, is currently injured, recovering from a broken leg, and is expected to return to action in the middle of this month.

In 24 games with the Stars this season, Robidas registered four goals and one assists for five points, along with 12 penalty minutes, and was a plus-seven.

In 871 career NHL regular-season games with the Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Blackhawks and Stars, Robidas has accumulated 55 goals and 191 assists for 246 points, as well as 671 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Canadiens in the seventh-round (164th overall) of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.

Robidas is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.
