Bonino signs three-year extension
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Anaheim Ducks have signed center Nick Bonino to a three-year, $4.7 million contract extension.

Bonino, 25, was in the final-year of his current contract that pays him $700,000 this season.

In 27 games with the Ducks so far this season, Bonino has registered seven goals and nine assists for 16 points.

The native of Hartford, Connecticut, has played in 139 career NHL regular-season games to date, all with the Ducks, and has accumulated 18 goals and 31 assists for 49 points.

The Ducks acquired Bonino, along with Timo Pielmeier and a draft pick from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for Travis Moen and Kent Huskins on Mar. 4, 2009.

He was originally drafted by the Sharks in the sixth-round (173rd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
