Ducks, Leafs complete multi-player trade

The Anaheim Ducks have acquired defensemen Jesse Blacker and 2014 third-round draft pick and a 2014 seventh-round draft pick from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for center Peter Holland and right wing Brad Staubitz.

The third-round pick could become a second-round pick if certain undisclosed conditions are met.

The seventh-round selection returns to Anaheim after originally being sent to Toronto with right wing Ryan Lasch in exchange for center David Steckel.

Blacker, 22, has scored six goals and added 23 assists for 29 points and 110 penalty minutes in 130 career AHL games with the Toronto Marlies.

The Toronto native was originally drafted by the Maple Leafs in the second round (58th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Holland, 22, appeared in four contests with Anaheim this season, scoring one goal.

Selected by Anaheim in the first round (15th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Holland also collected five goals and four assists for nine points and 22 penalty minutes in 10 contests for Norfolk (AHL) this season.

He has appeared in 29 career NHL games with the Ducks, registering five goals and two assists for seven points.

Staubitz, 29, went scoreless with 10 penalty minutes in six games for Norfolk this season. He appeared in 15 games for the Ducks last season, scoring two points with 41 penalty minutes.

Signed as a free agent on July 1, 2012, Staubitz has collected 10 goals, 11 assists and 521 penalty minutes in 230 career NHL games with San Jose (2008-10), Minnesota (2010-12), Montreal (2011-12) and Anaheim (2012-13).
