Ducks acquire Lombardi from Coyotes

The Ducks have acquired center Matthew Lombardi from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for left wing Brandon McMillan.

Lombardi, 31, appeared in 21 games for the Coyotes this season, registering four goals, four assists and four penalty minutes.

In 529 career contests with Calgary, Phoenix, Nashville and Toronto, Lombardi has accumulated 101 goals and 161 assists for 262 points with 289 penalty minutes (PIM) and a +8 rating.

Lombardi was originally selected by Calgary in the third round (90th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

McMillan, 23, appeared in six games with Anaheim this season, collecting one assist. He made his NHL season debut on Mar. 4 at Phoenix.

He was originally drafted by Anaheim in the third round (85th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
