Visnovsky, who was traded to Anaheim by the Edmonton Oilers in March 2010, has recorded four goals and six assists for 10 points in 24 games this season.
It remains to be seen if the Ducks are willing to shop Visnovsky, although the club could be looking for a significant shakeup to earn a final chance to save an already shameful season.
There has been no indication that Visnovsky is willing to accept a trade, but he could eventually be linked with the Philadelphia Flyers and the Tampa Bay Lightning, who are amongst several clubs looking to bolster up their depleted bluelines.
Meanwhile, forward Bobby Ryan, who was on the trade block in November, could become available again, while linemate Ryan Getzlaf has started to be mentioned in rumors, as well.
They would be the players that could bring the biggest return if the Ducks decided to go that route.
