Ducks could move Selanne

Already sitting far out of the playoff picture, the Anaheim Ducks might soon start shopping some of their veteran players, the Ottawa Sun reports.

According to the paper, veteran sniper Teemu Selanne could be dangled as trade bait.

The Finnish Flash, who has a no-movement clause, will have to decide if he'd like to leave Anaheim, as the Ducks are expected to receive a lot of interest in him closer to the Mar. 3 trade deadline.

The Sun also suggests the Ducks were willing to move Joffrey Lupul, who is currently interested, and could revisit that option later in the season.

Selanne loves Anaheim, and it's still too early to tell if the Ducks will move him. It's an option and something both sides will have to seriously consider. -- David Pagnotta
