The Anaheim Ducks have been relatively quiet on the free agent front so far, but that could change if they get their wish and sign forward Mikael Samuelsson.
Samuelsson, 32, tallied 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points in 81 games last year with the Detroit Red Wings.
The Orange Counter Register reports on its website that the Ducks like Samuelsson, who made $1.2 million last season.
It's believed the Buffalo Sabres, Dallas Stars, New Jersey Devils and Vancouver Canucks have inquired about his services. The Red Wings are also interested in having him return to Detroit.
