The Anaheim Ducks have traded defenseman Sean O'Donnell to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a conditional 2009 draft pick.
O’Donnell, 36, appeared in all of Anaheim's 82 contests in 2007-08. He scored two goals and added seven assists, with a plus-9 rating. The Ottawa native appeared in his 900th career regular season NHL game on Jan. 18, 2008 at Minnesota.
Selected by Buffalo in the sixth round (123rd overall) of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft, O'Donnell has appeared in 932 career NHL games over 15 seasons, collecting 27 goals, 150 assists and 1,558 penalty minutes. He won his first Stanley Cup with Anaheim in 2007.
The trade marks just the second between the Ducks and Kings in their histories. Last season, the Ducks acquired goalie J.S. Aubin from Los Angeles for a 2008 seventh round pick.
