CONTEST RULES

1. (a) All participants who subscribe to "The Fourth Period Magazine" are automatically entered into this Contest. To enter, log on to TheFourthPeriod.com to complete an online subscription form before 11:59 pm (ET) on Sunday, February 4, 2007, the Contest Closing Date, to be eligible. Contest starts Tuesday, August 1, 2006. 

(b) A random draw, by an MCNSPORTS (parent company of The Fourth Period Magazine) representative, from all completed entry forms received as of the Contest Closing Date will be made on Monday, February 5, 2007. The first fifty (50) entrants drawn will receive a free 2007-08 subscription, the fifty-first (51st) through sixtieth (60th) entrants drawn will be those selected for secondary prizes and the sixty-first (61st) entrant drawn will be the selected entrant for the grand prize. Selected entrants will be contacted by telephone and/or e-mail at the telephone number/e-mail address indicated on the selected entrant's entry form. 

(c) If a selected entrant cannot be reached by Monday, February 12, 2007 or declines the prize, another entrant will be selected on or before Friday, February 16, 2007. 

(d) This Contest is open to residents of the United States of America and Canada, who are of the age of majority in the state or province of which they reside. 

(e) Employees, and their immediate family, of MCNSPORTS ("Contest Sponsor"), TheFourthPeriod.com or The Fourth Period Magazine, and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies for this Contest are not eligible for this Contest.

2. There are a total of sixty-one (61) prizes to be won. Participants will be eligible to win one (1) of fifty (50) subscription prizes. Approximate retail value per subscription is $19.99 CDN. Participants will also be eligible to win one (1) of ten (10) secondary prizes consisting of autographed hockey memorabilia, hockey equipment and hockey paraphernalia. Approximate retail value per prize ranges from $50 to $1,000 CDN. Participants will also be eligible to win one (1) Grand Prize ("Grand Prize") trip to the city of Montreal (details outlined below). Approximate retail value is $2,720 CDN, based on a Vancouver, BC departure to Montreal, PQ. 

Grand Prize - One (1) grand prize trip for two (2) (winner and guest) will be awarded consisting of the following:

· Round trip economy air transportation (if applicable) for two (2) between the major commercial airport nearest the winner’s residence (if the winner resides within 300 km driving distance from Montreal, PQ, air transportation will be forfeited and winner and guest will be responsible for their own transportation); 
· Hotel accommodations for two (2) nights based on double occupancy; 
· Components of Grand Prize are non-transferable; 
· Date of hockey game is to be determined.

Only those items listed above herein are included in the Grand Prize and any other expenses are the sole responsibility of the contest winner and guest, including, but not limited to, transportation to and from home and airport, airport fees, transportation to and from hotel and airport, transportation while in Montreal, PQ, spending money, items of a personal nature, personal expenses, meals, travel documents, optional travel insurance, tax and gratuities. MCNSPORTS, and any its divisions, is in no way responsible for cancelled, delayed, suspended or rescheduled events after ticketing of Grand Prize for any reason whatsoever beyond its control. Transportation and accommodations are subject to availability, blackout periods, government restrictions and regulations, hotel, airline, airport or other transportation restrictions and regulations. Further restrictions may apply.

3. All prizes are to be accepted as awarded. MCNSPORTS reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize.

4. By entering this contest, each contestant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, address and/or further contact information in any publicity carried out by MCNSPORTS and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation. All entries become the property of MCNSPORTS.

5. The contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations set forth by State, Province and municipality. 

6. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, have been submitted through dishonest means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified. 

7. Contestants agree to indemnify and hold harmless MCNSPORTS, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, sponsors, officers, consultants, agents and employees against and from all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising out of participation in this Contest.

8. By entering into this Contest, participants release and hold harmless MCNSPORTS and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, sponsors, officers, consultants, agents and employees from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize won.

9. MCNSPORTS is collecting personal data about entrants through magazine subscriptions for the sole purpose of administering this Contest. Contestant's data shall not be used for any other reason or provided to any third party unless the Contestant grants consent. Please see the Privacy Policy for full information on the company’s policy towards maintaining the privacy and security of user information.

10. MCNSPORTS assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed or misdirected entries through its online subscription process during the promotional period. MCNSPORTS also assumes no responsibility for any problems, damage or technical malfunctions of any kind to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from the downloading of any material in the promotion. 

11. MCNSPORTS reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest should a cause beyond the reasonable control of MCNSPORTS corrupt the security or administration of the Contest.

12. This contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment solely by MCNSPORTS. Contestants agree to comply with these outlined rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the contest.
