Meet Alex Pietrangelo, the
Blues' 2008 first-round pick. Ranked fifth-overall
heading into the draft by ISS, Pietrangelo's a highly
skilled defenseman, who is an excellent skater with
sound offensive instincts and remains calm under
pressure. He can run the powerplay and create offensive
chances. ISS says he is an excellent skater with a great
stride. He offers a hard shot, can beat you one-on-one
and is a physically imposing player on the ice with his
large frame.
