Meet Nikita Filatov,
Columbus' 2008 first-round selection, a top tier
playmaker, according to ISS. Filatov's instincts in the offensive zone are as
good as they come and ISS had him ranked third heading
into the draft. He is a highly skilled, smooth-skating winger
blessed with speed, great hands and tremendous vision.
Filatov could see NHL action next season, as soon as his
contract situation is resolved. Along with the No.1
drafted Steven Stamkos, Filatov could be the most gifted
offensive player in the draft. ISS believes he could an
offensive cornerstone of a franchise.
